Welcome.

In an effort to not blog the obvious "Hello World" post, I'm going to start with welcome. This is all about new things. I'm a new grad student at the University of Waterloo, which is pretty exciting and scary all at the same time. I'm working in the areas of software requirements, human computer interaction and security, but that's as much as I know at this point about my research. I know that I need practice reading and I need more practice writing. I also know that I need an outlet to do that on the computer, because writing in a book or writing in a word document is not going to work for me.

So this blog is going to be a little about me and my new life, and a little about my research and things I find interesting in the HCI/SE world. Check out my shared items feed from reader... I try to keep them interesting.
